Start-Up Loan
Start-up loans are available to businesses yet to launch or those that have been trading for up to 12 months. This personal loan is normally up to a maximum of £10,000 for up to 5 years at a competitive rate of interest.
The scheme, run with our partners at Business Gateway, provides free business planning prior to taking in monies ensuring applicants are in the best possible position to receive funding.
Business Loans Scotland
Loan capital for new and existing, small and medium sized businesses across Scotland. The public-private partnership fund aims to accelerate the growth of businesses and increase SMEs in Scotland. The gap funding can be met up to £100,000 but will not exceed 50% of total funding package.
Michelin Development
Michelin Development in the UK offers financial support, as well as business expertise and advice, to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) that employ up to 250 people. Applicants are able to choose financial help, business expertise/advice, or both. Applications are invited from any new start-up or existing small or medium sized business located within, or relocating to the areas above, from the manufacturing and service sectors
Small Business Finance (Dundee) Limited
Small Business Finance (Dundee) Limited (SBFD) was established in 1987 to provide financial support to new start-up and existing business. The SBFD fund is supported by The Mathew Trust and Dundee City Council with additional sponsorship from the private sector. Assistance normally takes the form of a loan (minimum £5,000 to a maximum of £25,000), at a fixed interest rate. The loan repayments can be over a period of 2 to 5 years. Terms and conditions are set up by a loan panel.
Funding Circle
A loan scheme that provides access to finance for small to medium sized businesses through an integrated network of investors and businesses. Businesses can borrow anything from £5,000 to £1m.
The Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme
A loan scheme run by the British Business Bank, loans and finance options are provided to start up, scale up or stay ahead in business. Businesses can borrow loans from £1,000 to £1.2m.
Princes Scottish Youth Business Trust
The aim of the Prince's Scottish Business Trust is to provide core advice and professional support to 18-25 year olds in Scotland so they can set up and run their own business.
CEIS Business Finance
CEIS allows businesses to secure finance to fund their start up or growth - this scheme is in place to find solutions for small businesses and social enterprises that cannot access funds elsewhere. The loan can be provided up to £50,000.
SME Loan Fund
Take out an interest-free SME loan for resource efficient measures and not only will you reduce your bills, you’ll receive 15% cashback. The SME Loan provides unsecured, interest free loans from £1,000 up to £100,000 for the installation of energy efficient measures such as lighting and heating upgrades, double glazing, insulation and much more.
BE Group Debt Finance Scotland
BE Group Debt Finance Scotland provides loan capital to new and existing SMEs across Scotland. The £12m fund, which is part funded by the EU, aims to enable Scottish businesses to thrive and boost the Scottish economy. Businesses can borrow between £25,000 to £100,000 to realise their plans and accelerate their growth. With a quick and easy application process and flexible terms, we can provide them with a loan tailored to their business needs in less than 20 days.
Digital Development Loan
The Digital Development Loan was created by the Scottish Government to provide loans to companies who wish to improve their digital capabilities and processes in areas such as cyber security, data analytics and software engineering. The loan also covers staff digital skills development as part of the Scottish Government’s drive to improve economic productivity.
