Dundee-based Game Tech Disruptor Expands Team

Zappaty's Logo

As Zappaty’s global user base grows steadily, a new C-Level role is created, and the team expands. Zappaty is based in central Dundee, the growing epicentre of the Scottish games ecosystem. They have developed a solution for smooth project collaboration and secure backup from within the Unity Engine directly.

Since opening beta testing up internationally, Zappaty’s user base grew by 400% in Q1 with a presence across 6 continents, and a further projected increase of 420% by Q3. To support this the company has expanded its core team.

Joining Zappaty on their mission to disrupt the complex world of Unity project collaboration is Jacintha Stonier as Senior Software Developer and Jess Watson as Content Creator.

Jess is a psychologist in training and brings her academic knowledge and theory to develop great content for the Zappaty brand.

Jacintha brings a wealth of experience and passion to the team, having worked as a software developer for more than ten years.

Jacintha Stonier, Senior Software Developer at Zappaty:

“Joining Zappaty has been a great opportunity to be a part of something innovative and cutting edge. I enjoy working at Zappaty because everyone is friendly, dedicated, and passionate, it is a real team effort.”

“It feels good to be able to contribute to a product from the ground up and every day is a school day, so I feel like I’m never standing still.”

Nazan joined Zappaty in January 2022 to head up the marketing and has since been appointed as Chief Growth Officer, a move to incorporate the breadth of activity being delivered across the wider growth strategy.

Nazan Ünlütürk, Chief Growth Officer at Zappaty:

“I’m continually inspired by the focus and work ethic of the Zappaty team, it’s a really special thing to be part of. I’m so glad to be back in the Scottish games ecosystem connecting indie developers with solutions to problems they often face – the soon to be problems of the past!”

With the games industry expanding by 3.2 billion gamers worldwide and a total revenue of $196B during the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s no surprise that indie studios are looking for faster, smarter, and more reliable solutions for their Unity projects.

Zappaty are currently in beta and are still accepting notes of interest to join the programme
