The University of Dundee has been named Scotland’s best university for student experience in a new nationwide poll.
Almost 6,000 students from across the country were surveyed over the past two years, ranking their seat of learning on categories including teaching quality, campus and facilities, and value for money.
The findings, compiled by StudentCrowd, cement Dundee’s long-standing reputation for excellence in student experience, despite the pandemic.
“The University of Dundee has always been synonymous with a great student experience,” said Professor Iain Gillespie, Principal and Vice-Chancellor.
“As well as high-quality teaching, our campus provides a safe, traditional university experience right in the heart of a vibrant, modern city.
“Covid-19 presented us with many significant challenges, but this survey is testament to our enduring commitment to providing our students the best university experience possible.”
The survey findings were based solely on the reviews of current students and were not based on traditional university rankings. Almost 6,000 reviews of universities and courses in these locations were submitted on studentcrowd.com over a 24-month period from January 2020 to January 2022.
The survey results are the second notable success for Dundee in just a matter of days. Last week, the University received a five-star rating from international higher education specialists QS Quacquarelli Symonds. The rating system provides a detailed look at higher education institutions across the world, focusing on specific topics such as teaching strength, graduate employability, facilities, inclusiveness and innovation.
