Dundee Waterfront

A unique opportunity..

The transformation of Dundee's Waterfront is already having an impact with new hotels, businesses, retailers and entrepreneurs investing in the city. Developers, investors and companies across the entire business spectrum can still be part of one of Western Europe's most extensive and transformative waterfront projects - come and discover Dundee.

The £1.6 billion transformation of Dundee’s Waterfront encompasses 240 hectares of land stretching 8km alongside the River Tay. This wider area is divided into 5 focused zones starting from east to west: Dundee Port, City Quay, Central Waterfront, Seabraes and Riverside.  This strategic, focussed and forward looking project (2001 – 2031) is propelling the city to international acclaim.

V&A Dundee is at the heart of Dundee's revitalised waterfront - acting as a landmark and establishing the city as an international destination. The city's visitor numbers are expected to increase, with three million additional visitors predicted between 2018 and 2028, generating significant additional income.

Investment and development made easy..

Most of the land at the Central Waterfront is owned by Dundee City Council, and the City Development Team is committed to a straightforward and rapid investment process. Dundee City Council takes a long-term holistic approach to development, working in partnership with investors to ensure maximum benefit for all parties.
